Edd Carr is a professional guitarist, composer, educator, arranger singer & recording artist with 20 years of professional experience across the globe.
After achieving his 1st class degree in Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music in his home city of Newcastle upon Tyne, Edd started his work and qualifications as an educator, working at schools and colleges around the north east of England.
In 2011 Edd started working for Carnival Cruise Line in the USA as a show band guitarist, later progressing to acoustic soloist, headline act and most recently, music manager. Throughout this journey Edd has created and performed countless arrangements of popular songs, accommodating the ever-changing instrumentation available, from solo to full big band, always going above and beyond to give the audience memorable musical experiences, unique to that moment.
As a leader Edd is organised, fair and consistently delivers the bottom line product. All while engaged in a coaching-style exchange with his team, asking questions, nurturing future talent and emotional wellbeing.
This management experience has prompted a recent return to education. From September 2021 Edd will undertake an MA Psychology of Music Performance, Education and Wellbeing at Sheffield University to further develop his understanding of himself and other musicians.
